The Sickle Cell Society is running ‘The Heritage Project: Our Story, Our Journey’, a programme which will chart a history of SCD in the UK since the Windrush generation’s arrival. It will involve collecting oral histories, stories, and memorabilia, and the project is open to contributions from patients, carers, families of sickle cell patients, campaigners and medical professionals.
